Since the 1st of May is quite a holiday in Berlin, I thought it would be nice to post some mail that had to do with Berlin and it's history. This is a collection of postcards sent to me by mail artist
Christian Pietzke. His work has been featured many times on this blog.
Christian has lived in Prenzlauerberg for over 30 years and is a retired school teacher who grew up in the GDR. I correspond with him often and we trade art, music and books often.
I love this selection of classic postcards from Berlin that he has sent as I often see where these things are or where here in Berlin and the history and culture here always interests me as I feel Berlin is the greatest city I have lived in to date.
